AkzoNobel recently opened a new powder coating plant in India
.
The plant is located in Thane, Mumbai with an investment of 9 million euros
.
The new plant will increase the capacity of AkzoNobel's existing plant in Bangalore and facilitate AkzoNobel's market expansion
there.
In addition, Thane's new plant has added a new product line
for bonded metal and functional powder coatings.

Daniela Vlad, Director of Powder Coatings at AkzoNobel, said that AkzoNobel's powder coatings business in India has been growing strongly and the new facility will play a key role in AkzoNobel's expansion plans and facilitate AkzoNobel's access to markets in the northern and western regions of the country and enhance its market service capabilities
in the region.
