Thermo Fisher Fisher helped complete the whole genome sequencing of two cases of Zika
virusThermo Fisher Recently, with the leading technology and excellent performance of its Ion Torrent semiconductor sequencing platform in high-throughput sequencing, it has successively helped the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the PLA Military Science and Technology Institute successfully obtain the whole genome sequence
of Zika virus from blood and urine.
The determination of the whole genome sequence of these two cases of viruses provides important evidence for the traceability and evolution of Zika virus, and has profound significance
for the research and development of subsequent diagnostic reagents, drugs and vaccines.
