    [Physical and chemical properties] Itaconic acid-methacrylic acid copolymer is a colorless or light yellow transparent viscous liquid


    [Preparation method] There are generally two methods for the preparation of the polymer


    (1) The raw materials are methacrylic acid (the polymerization inhibitor is purely removed before polymerization), itaconic acid , deionized water, and ammonium persulfate


    Dissolve a measured amount of itaconic acid in an appropriate amount of deionized water and add it to a polymerization reactor equipped with an electric stirrer, a reflux condenser, and a dropping funnel, and slowly increase the temperature of the solution to 100°C under stirring


    (2) The raw materials are 50~90mL of itaconic acid, 10~50mol of acrylic acid, 1%~2% of sodium persulfate (based on the total mass of monomers), and 6%~12% of sodium bisulfite (based on the total mass of monomers) ), ferrous sulfate 0.


    Add itaconic acid, ferrous sulfate and deionized water to a polymerization reactor equipped with an electric stirrer, a reflux condenser and a dropping funnel


    [Application] Similar to itaconic acid-acrylic acid copolymer, itaconic acid methacrylic acid copolymer can also be used for on-line cleaning of circulating cooling water system, which can effectively remove thicker scales, and the scale removal rate can reach more than 90%
