Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration issued an announcement, "GB/T 41010-2021 Biodegradable Plastics and Products Degradation Performance and Labeling Requirements" and "GB/T 41008-2021 Biodegradable Drinking Straws" are recommended by two countries.
The standard will be implemented on June 1, 2022

The definition standard of GB/T 20197-202X degradable plastics has been in controversy.
This time, the GB/T 41010-2021 standard was successfully released, because it avoided disputes on technical routes such as photo-oxidative degradation and photo-oxidative-biodegradation.
It also avoids the criticized drawback of only using industrial compostable plastics standards to define degradable plastics.
GB/T 41010-2021 only formulates standards for biodegradable plastics, and its smooth release also relieves some of the pressure on GB/T 20197-202X , in a certain sense to achieve "curve to save the country"
