KBR to supply proprietary catalysts to Shenghong Petrochemical

On July 14, KBR announced that it had won a catalyst supply contract for the vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) project of China Shenghong Refinery (Lianyungang) Co.

It is reported that this VAM installation is also the first commercial VAM technology authorization and engineering contract obtained by KBR after signing a cooperation agreement with Showa Denko Co.

VAM is a key intermediate in the production of polymers and resins used in adhesives, coatings, paints, films, textiles and other products
