KBR won its first commercial contract for its K-PROTM propane dehydrogenation (PDH) technology, launched in January 2019

K-PRO offers customers lower capital and operating costs and environmental benefits

K-PRO utilizes KBR's proven OrthoflowTM Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) reactor technology, and also leverages KBR's expertise in designing and optimizing olefin recovery systems, which KBR has acquired over decades for its SCORETM steam cracking and K-COTTM catalytic olefin technologies obtained with permission

At the heart of the K-PRO process is an innovative catalyst that is free of expensive precious metals and environmentally sensitive chromium and can be used in existing commercial technologies
