The Lycra Company announced the launch of Lycra EcoMade fibers made from recycled materials to expand its Planet Agenda sustainability platfo.
Lycra, headquartered near Wilmington, was sold by INVISTA to a textile company in Chi.
The company also announced plans to retrofit most of its Coolmax and Thermolite products to include recycled content by the end of 202
The official launch event will take place at Intertextile Shanghai later this mon.
Jean Hegedus, Director of Sustainability at Lycra Corporation, said: "The Earth Agenda platform is focused on delivering insights, technologies, products and processes that contribute to a more sustainable indust.
The current EcoMade line of recycled products includes most of The Lycra Company's apparel bran.
The Lycra Company produces fibers for the apparel and personal care industries, provides technical solutions, and produces specialty chemicals used in spandex and polyurethane processi.
