LyondellBasell will continue to build polymer production units in Chi.
Under the first contract, the company will license its Spheripol and Spherizone technologies to two polypropylene units with a capacity of 400,000 t/y and 200,000 t/y, respective.
Luan Bo, President of Jingbo Zhongju New Materials, commented: "We chose LyondellBasell's polypropylene production technology to better serve our mark.
Both units will use LyondellBasell's Ziegler-Natta Avant cataly.
Under a second contract won last month, LyondellBasell will license its Spherizone-made polypropylene and Hostalen ACP-made HDPE technologies for a new unit at Sinopec Zhenhai Refinery in Ning.
The unit using the Hostalen process will initially use LyondellBasell's Avant Z501 and Z509-1 catalysts to produce a range of multimodal HDPE produc.
Production dates for the two projects have not yet been disclos.
Earlier this year, LyondellBasell also announced licensing agreements for three polyolefin production technologies in Chi.
Last month, LyondellBasell also signed a memorandum of understanding with China's Liaoning Bora Group to jointly invest in the construction and operation of a giant cracker and plastics compl.
