Unilever's Magnum pint ice cream has launched a new lid packaging.

According to Menglong, rPP used for food packaging cannot be produced and refined through mechanical recycling.
Menglong adopts the recycling technology jointly developed with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) to turn waste plastic into treasure and produce food-grade rPP.

Menglong has launched 600,000 ice cream packages made of rPP in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain in 2019, and is expected to introduce 7 million rPP packages in other parts of Europe this year, and will be promoted in the global market in 2021

Menglong said that by the end of 2020, all Menglong pint cups in Europe will be produced with rPP, which means that more than 160,000 kilograms of recycled plastic will be required
