    On January 14, Chicago-based LanzaJet said that Microsoft will invest $50 million in its Georgia plant that already uses ethanol to produce jet fuel


    LanzaJet said site engineering for the fuel biorefinery is nearly complete, with plans to start producing 10 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel per year from sustainable ethanol, including waste feedstocks, starting in 2023


    Microsoft launched the Climate Innovation Fund in 2020 to invest $1 billion over the next four years to accelerate research and development of carbon removal technologies
