Initiation of supervision and assistance for the prevention and control of ozone pollution in key areas in summer
 

In order to implement the decision and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on deepening the fight against pollution, and vigorously promote the continuous improvement of environmental air quality in key areas, our Ministry issued the "Notice on Carrying out the Supervision and Assistance Work for Air Quality Improvement in Key Areas from 2021 to 2022" , And recently launched the atmospheric supervision and assistance work in key areas in an all-round way.

 

　　This year’s atmospheric supervision and assistance has carried out comprehensive optimization and innovation in working methods, in-depth implementation of accurate, scientific, and legal pollution control, and in accordance with the requirements of the "five precision" of problems, time, location, objects, and measures, professional and routine groups have been formed.
Two teams, focusing on the coordinated control of fine particulate matter and ozone, and the coordinated reduction of nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds, coordinated the implementation of special supervision and normal assistance, and implemented two teams, two methods, coordinated cooperation, and integration Combat.

　　According to the unified deployment, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has dispatched 11 professional teams to focus on key industries such as steel, coking, petrochemical, chemical, glass and other key industries to carry out special supervision.
Crackdown on environmental violations; 28 regular teams were dispatched to carry out normal assistance, focusing on supervision and inspection of "hot grids" with high pollutant concentrations in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas, to help localities find problems and integrate supervision into assistance in.
At the same time, it clearly opposes the simple and rude “one size fits all” behaviors of local governments and enterprises, such as the frequent suspension of production and closure, and the first stop and then the treatment.
