After 24 hours of demonstration experiments, the first 9MW wind turbine owned by MHIVestas, a joint venture between Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, was confirmed to generate 216,000 kilowatt-hours per day, enough to power an ordinary home for 20 years and break the record
    for commercial coastal wind turbines.

The demonstration experiment was carried out on December 1, 2016 at the Usu test site in northern Denmark, and the offshore wind turbine model is "V164-8.
0MW", which is an improved version
    of the previous 8MW model.

MHIVestas also hopes to further improve the "V164-8.
0MW" offshore wind power generation equipment to increase power output capacity while reducing the number of turbines installed, thereby controlling investment costs
    .

It is reported that the three blades of V164-8.
0MW offshore wind power equipment are each about 80 meters long and weigh up to 35 tons; the height of the generator column body is about 140 meters, if the highest point of the blades is added, the height of the entire wind power equipment will reach about 220 meters
