On September 20th, China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced that my country’s first self-operated deepwater oilfield group Liuhua 16-2 oilfield group has been successfully put into operation

The peak annual output of the Liuhua 16-2 oil field group can reach 4.
2 million cubic meters, which is currently the largest new oil field group developed in the South China Sea.
The completion and commissioning of the oil field group further improves China's deepwater oil and gas development engineering technology system with independent intellectual property rights
    .

The Liuhua 16-2 oilfield group is located in the Pearl River Mouth Basin of the South China Sea, about 240 kilometers southeast of Hong Kong.
It includes the three oil fields of Liuhua 16-2, Liuhua 20-2 and Liuhua 21-2.
The average water depth is 410 meters, setting the deepest development water depth of offshore oilfields in China.
, The record with the largest number of underwater wellheads
    .

It is reported that the Liuhua 16-2 oilfield group is the first oilfield in China to adopt a fully underwater development model, and its technical difficulty and complexity rank among the top in the world
    .

The all-underwater development model means that all oil fields adopt underwater production systems, and then connect to the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading device) on the surface.

It is understood that the eastern South China Sea oilfield where the Liuhua 16-2 oilfield group is located is China’s second largest offshore oilfield.
In 1996, China’s first deep-water oilfield, Liuhua 11-1, developed in cooperation with foreign countries was born
    .

The eastern South China Sea oilfield has achieved annual output of over 10 million cubic meters for 24 consecutive years and over 15 million cubic meters for 5 consecutive years
