New gas-phase polyethylene catalyst technology passed the headquarters appraisal

Sinopec News Network reported on May 28, a key scientific research project jointly undertaken by Zhenhai Refining and Chemical and Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, the development of new high-efficiency gas-phase polyethylene catalyst technology passed the technical appraisal organized by the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The appraisal opinion shows that this catalyst has realized full brand substitution of imported catalysts in Zhenhai Refining & Chemical's 500,000 tons/year polyethylene plant, and created the best historical levels of production load, product quality, material consumption, and energy consumption.

After the start of construction of the polyethylene plant of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical in 2010, under the unified organization and leadership of the headquarters, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical actively promoted the localization of polyethylene catalysts.
