Pawtucket, RI, USA, August 26, 2019: Creamid® P-Series polyamide 6 (PA 6) compounds absorb nearly 1/3 less water at saturation than typical PA6, so wet Tensile properties are improved by 15-25% and exhibit higher flow and better surface properties, even in higher glass-filled formulatio.
The Creamid P series, designed by Teknor Apex, is the latest in a range of high-performance specialty polyamides for use in structural components that replace meta.

Tensile Strength ComparisonAt K 2019, the company will be the first to launch two Creamid P compounds with 30% and 50% glass fiber conte.
Markus Krippner, Director of New Business Development ETP, said: "In the past, PA 6 compounds were not suitable for certain structural applications due to their high water absorption, but now the Creamid P series of compounds have significantly improved wet tensile properties, so they can meet the requirements of these applicatio.
Application in car
In spiral fluid flow tests, these new compounds exhibited higher flow than typical polyamide 6, but with similar levels of mold shrinkage, allowing them to be processed with existing equipment and mol.
Compounds in the Creamid P range are available worldwi.
