Recently, Florida Power Light Source, a U.
S.
clean energy company NextEra Energy & Utilities, has officially acknowledged signing a large-scale solar module supply agreement
with JinkoSolar, a leading "Silicon Model Super Alliance" (SMSL) member.
NextEra Energy revealed in a joint statement that it has amended its previously unannounced supply agreement with JinkoSolar and increased its total to 2,750MW
within four years.
Previously, the Silicon Model Super Alliance (SMSL) announced in January that it had secured a 1,700MW supply agreement in the United States over three years, but did not disclose the corresponding company name
.
SMSL also recently announced that it will build its first solar module assembly plant
in Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition, JinkoSolar will operate a state-of-the-art plant in Jacksonville with an installed capacity of 400MW.
The supply agreement with NextEra Energy states a demand for solar modules of 687MW
per year in a four-year agreement.

Back in 2015, Korean-owned Hanwha Q CELLS signed a 1,500MW module supply agreement with NextEra Energy for a solar project completed in 2016, the largest such supply contract
announced at the time.
In addition, JinkoSolar also revealed that it has obtained foreign investment funds from local government departments to build module assembly plants
