Sinochem News, according to the World Natural Gas Network on June 8th, the state-owned Oman LNG Company and Royal Dutch Shell have signed an agreement to deliver the first batch of carbon-neutral LNG in the Middle East

The carbon-neutral LNG cargo will be delivered from the Qalhat terminal near Sur in the Ash Sharqiyah region in northeastern Oman

Oman LNG explained that the nature-based project aims to make nature produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide emissions from the atmosphere

These activities have led to the creation of "carbon credits", each of which represents the avoidance of greenhouse gases
