This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of pentaerythritol for industrial use

This standard applies to the production, inspection and sales of industrial pentaerythritol produced with formaldehyde and acetaldehyde as raw materials and sodium hydroxide or calcium hydroxide as catalysts
