The EU Innovation Fund has selected Project Air, a unique sustainable methanol production facility in Stenungsund, Sweden, as one of 17 large-scale green tech projects to receive more than €8 billion in fundi.

Project Air is a game-changer for the chemical industry, moving from fossil feedstocks to recycled and bio-based feedstocks, thereby bringing sustainable chemical products into a multitude of industries and end produc.

"The Innovation Fund's decision shows that 'Project Air' is an important investment in the climate of the futu.

Project Air is an innovative use of existing technology in large-scale industrial applicatio.

Project Air will be built at Perstow's existing facility in Stenungsund to strengthen the regional chemical industry cluster Hallbar Kemi 203 The sustainable methanol produced by Project Air will be used to produce chemical products that are in turn used in a variety of applications across multiple industries and business.

Project Air is one of 17 projects awarded by the Innovation Fund for a total of 8 billion eur.
