PetroChina Carbon Neutrality Technology R&D Center put into operation

Sinochem News News On January 5th, the carbon neutrality technology R&D center of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) was officially launched, aiming to enhance the independent innovation capability of key technologies in the carbon neutral field of the group company and promote the industrialized production of major key technologies in the carbon neutral field.

The establishment of the carbon neutral technology research and development center has laid a solid foundation for the group company to coordinate resources to carry out technical research, promote and lead the development of energy conservation, environmental protection and low-carbon industries, and achieve carbon neutrality goals

Relying on the China Petroleum Safety and Environmental Protection Research Institute, the center is jointly established by the China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute and the China Petroleum Planning Institute.

The center will actively build a high-end think tank platform, carbon footprint technology platform, energy saving and emission reduction technology platform and carbon cycle technology platform, and strive to become a standard setter for the implementation of the carbon peak and carbon neutral strategy, a provider of green, low-carbon and negative carbon technology, and a leader.
