Philippe Knaub, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Sylvania foam supplier FXI, joined the Flexible Polyurethane Alliance (AFPF), a non-profit organization that manages the CertiPUR-US® certification progr.

Knaub was previously global head of emulsion polymer research and development at Horgen, Switzerland-based Trinseo (a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company), where he worked for more than 20 yea.

Knaub has an international reputation in the field of polyurethanes and plastics, being nominated in several patents and published in many professional publications and textboo.

Knaub joins the board as the certipur US® program celebrates its 11th ye.

Nearly 60 block and molded foam producers are currently certifying flexible polyurethane foam, with more than 1,000 bedding and upholstered furniture manufacturers and retailers participating in the progr.
