Pilot projects will be launched in key industries and places
Take the lead in large-scale conferences, exhibitions and other activities sponsored by government agencies, public institutions, large state-owned enterprises, and other industries and places such as major tourist attractions, large supermarkets, large shopping malls, schools, hospitals, etc.
Recently, the newly released "List of Disposable Non-degradable Plastic Products Prohibited in the Production, Sale and Use of Hainan Province (First Batch)" (hereinafter referred to as the "List").
Include disposable non-degradable plastic bags and tableware in 2 major categories and 10 sub-categories of disposable non-degradable plastic products into the first batch of “plastic bans”.
However, it is important to point out that the prohibited film bags and catering do not include pre-packaged products, such as instant noodles, jelly, yogurt and other products.
In other words, this ban will not have a big impact on plastic packaging companies.
What are the alternative products in the market after the "ban on plastics"?
According to reports, in promoting the development of industries related to alternative products, in order to ensure the supply of substitutes after the "ban on plastics", the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has issued and implemented the "Development Plan for the Full Biodegradable Plastics Industry in Hainan Province (2020-2025)".
There seem to be many types of banned alternatives, such as paper, cloth bags, linen and other products, reusable plastic baskets, baskets, etc.
In terms of price, taking fully biodegradable plastic products as an example, the current price of fully biodegradable raw materials is twice that of traditional plastic raw materials.
However, with the expansion of production capacity and the research and development of new materials, the cost and selling price of alternative products will further decline.
In the process of carrying out the "ban on plastics", supervision and supervision will also be strengthened, and one illegality is restricted everywhere.
