[Plastic] In response to plastic pollution control, the joint technology center for recycled materials for food contact was unveiled

On May 24, the National Key Laboratory of Food Contact Material Testing of Guangzhou Customs Technology Center (Guangdong) and Guangxi Wuzhou Guolong Renewable Resources Development Co.

Plastic pollution has become a major global issue due to its serious impact on the environment and ecological safety.

To this end, the Guangzhou Customs Technology Center actively responded to the country's requirements for strengthening plastic pollution control, actively carried out research and demonstration applications of key technologies for the high-value application of food contact materials, and cooperated with Guangxi Guolong to establish a joint technology center to announce that the work has entered the industry application stage.

According to the agreement, the United Technology Center will use Guolong’s existing international leading plastic cleaning production line as a research base to carry out a series of research on the high-value application of recycled plastics in food packaging, and develop products that meet the requirements of EU and US regulations.

Guangzhou Customs Technology Center is one of the earliest professional institutions in China to carry out food contact material safety research, and it is at the leading domestic level in terms of material identification, multi-component analysis and pollutant screening.
