Reducing the frequency of use of plastic bags can also help solve the problem of white pollution.
But Japanese people seem to be obsessed with the use of plastic bags.
A United Nations report pointed out that although Japan produces less waste per capita than most developed countries, it produces more plastic waste per capita than anywhere else in the world except the United States.
In response to this situation, the Japanese central government set a goal of reducing plastic waste by 25% by 2030, and introduced related charging policies, which were formally implemented on July 1 this year.
