    Researchers have a new method to make a material with a structure similar to nanograms from a wood-derived fiber and mica.


    The materials designed by the researchers use TIO2 coated mica microporous plates and cellulose nanofibers.


    The material using this manufacturing process has twice the toughness of high-performance engineering plastics such as polyamide and aromatic polycarbonate, making it stronger than traditional petroleum-based plastics.
