Responding to supply challenges posed by silicone shortages and closures of sterilization facilities, PolyOne has announced the launch of its newest medical-grade Versaflex™ HC BT218

Jim Mattey, global marketing director for PolyOne Specialty Engineered Materials, said he is excited to add the new Versaflex grades to the company's expanding portfolio of solutions

PolyOne's Versaflex HC BT218 is one of its broad portfolio of specialty engineered polymers that meet stringent regulatory requirements and allow other sterilization methods such as gamma and autoclave in healthcare

The weldability, kink resistance and tensile strength properties of the new grade are comparable to leading medical tubing including silicone and TPE
