    Pittsburgh, October 27, 2021 -- PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced a strategic agreement with Li'Anton Chemical Co.
    , Ltd.
    (OSC), a manufacturer of silicon dioxide, sodium silicate and Leading producer of ointment products

    As an important part of the agreement, Taiwan-based Li An Dong Chemical will act as a sales agent to sell select grade PPG silica products to tire manufacturers in the Asia-Pacific region

    .

    Select grades covered by the agreement include PPG HI-SIL® low/high surface area silica, and PPG AGILON® high performance modified silica
    .
    These products can support tire manufacturers in their sustainability efforts, including reducing rolling resistance and improving wear properties of tread compounds; improving rubber compounding efficiency and reducing VOC emissions from manufacturing processes; increasing natural rubber in tires dosage to improve abrasion and tear resistance and to support the use of bio-based materials
