Shanghai, January 10, 2020—Today, the PPG (NYSE: PPG) "Colorful Community" event and art mural unveiling ceremony were successfully held in Changning District, Shanghai
.
The event took more than 180 days from scheme design to selection, from construction to on-site creation.
A total of 14 art painters, 18 construction workers and more than 20 PPG employee volunteers and government and community representatives participated actively, contributing more than 1000 hours of volunteer service time, helping community residents repair and beautify the exterior walls and living environment of residential buildings
.
PPG contributed 275 gallons (1100 liters) of Maestro™ exterior paint products and services to the event
.
Changning District of Shanghai is the "West Gate" of the central city and one of the important windows of Shanghai's opening to the outside world
.
PPG's "Colorful Community" project is part of the urban planning of Changning District.
It was completed with the joint support of the Hongqiao and Zhongshan Park Area Function Development Office and Tianshan Road Street in Changning District, Shanghai.
