    Production process

    Put 123 parts of nitrobenzene into the sulfonation reaction kettle, slowly add fuming sulfuric acid dropwise, and stir while adding

    After the addition is complete, the temperature is increased to 105°C, and the reaction is carried out for 2 hours


    After the sulfonation is completed, the cooled reactant is slowly poured into a tank containing 200 parts of water and 300 parts of crushed ice in a trickle while stirring

    Then add 200 portions of salt in batches within 2 to 4 hours


    The acidified liquid was cooled to below 10°C, and crude meta-aminophenol crystals were precipitated

    The crude product is purified by vacuum distillation, and the fractions at 178-182°C/1000Pa are collected to obtain the pure product m-aminophenol

    Used in the production of antioxidants, stabilizers, developers and color films

    In medicine, it is used in the manufacture of anti-tuberculosis drug para-aminosalicylic acid; also used in the manufacture of azo dyes and fluorescent whitening agents (such as the production of fluorescent whitening agents EGM, ACB, EF, etc.
