Recently, Reifenhäuser, a German manufacturer of plastic extrusion equipment, transformed one of its pilot production lines into a production line for breathable membranes to help a world-renowned manufacturer of medical protective clothing produce

This is after Reifenhauser transformed the pilot production line of its technology center in March this year to produce meltblown cloth to meet the manufacturing demand of 1 million masks per day, and adjusted the production line again to help fight the epidemic

The breathability of the breathable membrane comes from the pore structure in the material, which is produced by stretching (Reifenhäuser EVO Ultra-Stretch extruder) with special calcium carbonate additives
