Prysmian Group has completed the commissioning of the internal array cable system of the Wikinger offshore wind farm located west of
Adlergrund in the Baltic Sea, Germany.

Prysmian was awarded the project contract by Iberdrola, the world's leading renewable energy developer and operator
, in February 2015.
"This important project marks another important milestone for the Group and is one of
the first large-scale offshore wind farms for the company to be responsible for a complete array supply and installation contract.
" David Rayner, Prysmian's Project Manager, said: "As a one-stop service provider, the company is responsible for designing, manufacturing, installing and testing a total of 81km of 33 kV submarine cables across various cross-sections to connect 705MW of offshore wind turbines

The cables are produced at Prysmian's plant in Drummen, Norway, one of the Group's three centres of excellence for submarine cable production (in addition to those in Italy and Finland).
