Redox resin application

(1) Preparation of hydrogen peroxide

Hydroquinone formaldehyde polycondensation resin can convert water saturated with oxygen into hydrogen peroxide , with a conversion rate of 80% to 100%, and the resulting concentration of recycling can reach 2mol/L, and the purity is high

(2) As an oxidant

Oxidized resins are good oxidizing agent, capable of oxidizing naphthalene tetralin, diphenyl hydrazine oxidized to azobenzene, oxidation of cysteine to cystine, vitamin C and vitamin C into dehydroepiandrosterone

(3) Oxygen scavenger

Redox resin can remove dissolved oxygen in the solution without introducing impurities, and can be used to treat high-pressure boiler water supply

(4) Antioxidant

Redox resins can be used to inhibit or prevent the oxidation of rubber, unsaturated oils, essential oils, petroleum products, soaps, aldehydes, etc.

(5) Purification of monomers and environmental protection

Redox resins can be used to remove excess peroxides in monomers and ethers; remove inhibitors in monomers; convert chlorine contained in the water into chlorides to improve water quality; reduce hexavalent chromium in electroplating wastewater It is trivalent chromium

(6) Medical applications

The hydroquinone-formaldehyde resin obtained by polycondensation can be used to treat gastric ulcers; taking sulfhydryl resin can remove 50% of the dimethylmercury in the body

Hydroquinone redox resin can be used as a non-diffusing reducing agent for color latex to avoid spots in the film

(9) Applications on semiconductors

Polystyrene hydroquinone and ferrocene resins can be used in the semiconductor field

(10) Application of redox indicator paper
