Petrobras plans to re-tender the Golfinho offshore oil field group.
Petrobras discovered the Golfhino oil field through a preliminary exploration well in 2003, and produced the first batch of oil in 2006.
This re-tender is in line with Petrobras’s previous plan to divest certain assets and focus more on deep-water sub-salt assets.
According to Reuters, DBO Energy has been negotiating on the Golfinho oil field group.
Brazil is now the largest oil producer in South America and the 8th largest oil producer in the world.
For the Golfinho oilfield group, Petrobras will share its production information from a well drilled last year, which has been concealed by Petrobras before.
Brazil remains one of the most popular oil markets in the region.

Higher Oil Prices Spur Brazil To Sell More Assets
Brazil's state-run oil company has reopened the bidding of its legacy oilfield clusters, according to Reuters sources.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA, or Petrobras, has reopened the bidding on the Golfinho offshore oilfield cluster.
Petrobras discovered Golfhino in 2003 with a wildcat well, with first oil in 2006.
The offering is in line with Petrobras' previously stated plan to shed certain assets to focus more on its deepwater pre-salt assets.
DBO Energy, according to Reuters, had previously been in negotiations over Golfinho.
Brazil is now the region's leading oil producer and the eighth largest globally.
For the Golfinho cluster, Petrobras is sharing its production information from a well drilled last year—information that Petrobras had previously withheld.
Brazil is still one of the hottest oil games in town.
