    According to Anadolu News on May 30, Russia’s Ministry of Energy said on Friday that Russia and Pakistan have signed an agreement to build Pakistan’s natural gas pipeline.


    According to the Russian Ministry of Energy, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and Pakistan’s ambassador to Moscow Shafqat Ali Khan signed the agreement.


    This 1,100-kilometer-long project, formerly known as the North-South Pipeline, plans to transport 12.


    Although the two countries signed an intergovernmental agreement on the project in 2015, the project was delayed for various reasons.


    The department said in a statement that the companies of the two countries will soon start implementing the project, which will contribute to Pakistan's energy security.
