Russian PP prices rise, three producers are about to enter the maintenance period

According to the MRC price report, Russian PP prices rose in late August as three producers are due to undergo scheduled outages in September-October
.

As of early August, the price of fiber-grade PP was 144,000-146,000 rubles/ton CPT Moscow (about 12,645-12,821 yuan/ton), including VAT

But a week later, strong demand and reduced supply pushed PP prices up to around Rs 147,000-152,000/t CPT Moscow (around Rs 12,908-13,348/t) including VAT
.

Scheduled maintenance by the three producers may further reduce PP supply; Stavrolen will undergo a 26-day outage from October 13; its PP plant is producing 120,000 tonnes

The overhaul of Poliom and Ufaorgsintez is scheduled for September and will last about two weeks

Poliom's PP plant has a capacity of 230,000 tonnes/year and Ufaorgsintez's capacity is 140,000 tonnes/year
