    Russian producers sharply increase PVC prices in May

    China Petrochemical News Network, according to ICIS website, May 6 news Russian polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producers are seeking to substantially increase the prices of exported goods in May because record global prices have hit the Russian domestic market.


    According to the ICIS-MRC price report, since the middle of last year, high oil prices have been putting pressure on the Russian market, and producers have announced that they will raise their target price by 10,000 rubles/ton (111 Euro/ton).


    Russian export prices remain firm, while prices on the domestic market in April were much lower.


    The export price is currently between 132,000 and 150,000 rubles/ton (cargo carrier price, including value-added tax, depending on the region).


    Tight supply and complex logistics have also contributed to the current market dynamics.


    The scope of discussion on the K64/67 agreement on the supply of PVC in Russia is very wide: 135,000 to 150,000 rubles/ton (freight paid to Moscow, including value-added tax, up to 500 tons), in March it was 121,500 to 130,000 rubles/ton ( Freight is paid to Moscow, including VAT).

    Russia PVC producers seek May hikes on record-high global prices

    MOSCOW (MRC)--Russian polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producers are seeking substantial price hikes for May shipments on the back of record-high global prices impacting the country's domestic market.


    High prices have been pressuring the Russian market since the middle of last year and producers have announced targeted rises of roubles (Rb) 10,000/tonne (€111/tonne) and more, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Report.


    Russian export prices remain strong while those in the domestic market were much lower in April.


    Export prices currently range from Rb132,000-150,000/tonne FCA (free carrier), including VAT, depending on the region.


    Tight supply and complex logistics have also contributed to the current market dynamic.


    Deals for the supply of Russian PVC with K64/67 were discussed in a very wide range: Rb135,000-150,000/tonne CPT (carriage paid to) Moscow, including VAT, for volumes up to 500 tonnes, against Rb121,500-130,000 /tonne CPT Moscow, including, VAT in March.
