Scatec Solar (Norway, Oslo) has signed an agreement with Brazil's Kroma Energia Ltda to have four PV plants totaling 150 MW
in the Brazilian state of Ceará.
In November 2015, Kroma won the PV project
in an auction bid held by Brazil's electricity regulator ANEEL.
The project company has a 20-year power purchase agreement with ANEEL and is expected to generate approximately 305,000 MWh of solar power per year and generate approximately R$95 million (US$28 million) in revenue
per year.
Under this PPA regulation, the plant will be commercially operational
in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Scatec Solar will build and operate the PV plant
in Ceará.
The plant's total capital expenditure is estimated at R$720 million ($212 million) and is expected to start operations
in 2017.
Scatec Solar decided not to move forward with Brazil's two 78 MW backlog due to more attractive return expectations for new PV projects and more flexible
timing.
