Sinopec News Network News On May 25, the fourth academic committee meeting of the Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Production Technology of Shandong Province was held in Shengli Oilfield.

At the meeting, Shengli Engineering Institute reported the work progress and next steps of the key laboratory of heavy oil extraction technology.

Experts pointed out that the laboratory should strengthen the research on the mechanism of thermochemical flooding and burning oil reservoirs, so as to truly provide decision-making basis for the technical succession of heavy oil reservoirs after multiple rounds of huff and puff; it should focus on high water-cut abandoned oil reservoirs and deep heavy oil reservoirs.
