Recently, Sinopec Shanghai Research Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Industry (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Institute) independently developed low-zinc graphene heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings that have been certified by the National Coatings Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for C5 heavy-duty anti-corrosion technology.
The coating's heavy-duty anti-corrosion performance is superior Graphene zinc powder coating standard HG/T5573-2019 requirements
    .

It is understood that currently only 3 companies in the world have passed this technology certification

Traditional heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings provide protection for the substrate based on the cathodic protection mechanism of zinc powder.
There are common problems such as large zinc addition, easy to produce "dead zinc" areas, poor weather resistance, and serious "zinc pollution" caused by long-term large-scale use
    .

In order to solve the above problems, the Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology used the shielding effect of graphene to independently develop graphene-based SSHY series of heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings through innovative formula design

Compared with traditional heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, this anti-corrosion coating has the advantages of low non-ferrous metal addition (not more than 30%), strong adhesion (not less than 12MPa), resistance to chemical corrosion (especially hydrogen sulfide corrosion), etc.
, and can be used in oil pipelines , Chemical installations, offshore drilling platforms, ocean-going ships and other equipment anti-corrosion under extremely severe corrosive conditions
    .

Over 80% of the domestic heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating market is monopolized by foreign coating giants.
The successful application of the SSHY series of graphene anti-corrosion coatings of Shanghai Research Institute is expected to break the long-term monopoly of China's high-end heavy anti-corrosion market by imported brands
    .

Up to now, this series of graphene anticorrosive coatings have been industrially applied on 3000-ton freighters, and the products are well received by customers
