On June 28, it was learned from ShanghaiTech University that Chen Gang's research group in the School of Materials of the university studied and prepared a two-dimensional color photonic crystal film based on organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials, and on this basis, a color solar cell device
with good photoelectric conversion efficiency was made.
The study has been published in Nano Express
    .

As a special nanostructure, the anti-opal structure can effectively optimize the optical and electrical properties of the material; Thin films with an anti-opal structure can form photonic crystals, demonstrating many of the superior properties
    of photonic crystals.

For the first time, the researchers used template-assisted spinning coating to prepare two-dimensional perovskite photonic crystal films
with anti-opal structures at different nanoscales, perovskite species and synthesis methods.
Such films exhibit rich colors and a range of special properties that differ from intrinsic perovskite materials, such as band shifts
    .
At the same time, the structure and photoelectric properties
of two-dimensional perovskite photonic crystal films were systematically studied by using synchrotron radiation surface grazing incident X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy and reflectance spectroscopy.
On this basis, the researchers further applied the two-dimensional photonic crystal film as a light-absorbing material to perovskite solar cells, and successfully prepared high-efficiency and colorful solar cell devices
    .

Experts said that such attempts are the first in related fields, providing a new idea
for the preparation of multifunctional perovskite optoelectronic devices.
It is reported that the relevant preparation method has applied for a national patent
    .
