Sika launches new low-odor balcony waterproofing paint

In response to the growing popularity of versatile liquid waterproofing solutions, Sika has launched Monoflex LO, an innovative line of low odor waterproofing coatings for balconies, walkways and patios

Developed at Sika's world-leading Preston Global Technology Centre, the new MonoFlex LO range features Sika's groundbreaking i-Cure patented technology in its polyurethane waterproofing component
.
This improved system maintains its high performance, processability and cure time, but eliminates odor-causing ingredients
.
The resulting benefits are lower emissions during use, reduced hazard classification and reduced occupational health risks
.

Monoflex LO offers architects, contractors, clients and end users numerous advantages through the use of this new advanced technology, which is now incorporated into more than 50 Sika patented products worldwide
.
Most notably, building occupants are not disturbed by unknown odors during solution application and curing
.
Whether on access to sensitive areas such as social housing, hospitals or schools, the building can be used normally while external works are being carried out, which means less logistical hassle for all parties
.

The highly durable Monoflex LO has an expected lifespan of 25 years and is available in a variety of colors, coatings and finishes, such as with a non-slip texture or buried under decorative tiles, allowing architects the freedom to design
