SK General Chemicals, a subsidiary of SK Innovation, said on the 15th that it will acquire the functional polyolefin-related business of French chemical giant Arkema to strengthen its competitiveness in the packaging fie.

This is the first time that an SK Innovation subsidiary has acquired a business from a European compa.

It is reported that SK General Chemicals will acquire three Arkema production facilities in France and ethylene-acrylate copolymers, ethylene-propylene terpolymers, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, and MAH graft polymers through this acquisiti.

SK General Chemicals plans to further create markets and opportunities by providing customers with targeted multiple solutions in the packaging field through this acquisiti.
