    (4) Homogeneous catalytic oxidation method

    The homogeneous catalytic oxidation method mainly refers to the H 2 O 2 oxidation method, that is, the H 2 O 2 is used as an oxidant to oxidize glucose to gluconic acid under catalytic conditions

    (5) Sodium hypochlorite oxidation method

    Sodium hypochlorite is used to oxidize glucose, and the by-product sodium chloride is separated by solvent extraction to prepare sodium gluconate .


    ①Prepare sodium hypochlorite by passing chlorine gas in liquid caustic soda

    2NaOH+Cl 2 =NaClO+NaCl+H 2 O

    ②Sodium hypochlorite oxidizes glucose to produce sodium gluconate

    CH 2 (OH)[CH(OH)] 4 CHO+NaClO+NaOH=CH 2 (OH)[CH(OH)] 4 COONa+NaCl+H 2 O

    ③ Acidify the reaction solution with acid to convert sodium gluconate into gluconolactone


    ④Distilled water under reduced pressure, extracted with solvent, and neutralized the lactone with alkali to obtain sodium gluconate


    (6) Electrolytic oxidation method

    The electrolytic oxidation method is to add a certain concentration of glucose solution in an electrolytic cell, then add a suitable electrolyte, and perform constant current electrolysis at a certain temperature and a certain current density

    Compared with other production methods, the electrolytic oxidation method has good product purity, up to 98%, and yield up to 90%.
