Solvay announced the expansion of its Research and Innovation (R&I) Center in Shanghai, China, to drive future innovation and growth by further building this international research center

The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion project of the research and innovation center was held in Solvay Shanghai Science and Technology Park.
Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, member of the Belgian economic and trade delegation to China, Xu Kunlin, deputy mayor of Shanghai, and Ilham Kadri, CEO of Solvay and other guests witnessed the foundation stone laying of the new building

Since its establishment in 1997, the Solvay China Research and Innovation Center in Shanghai has become Solvay's third largest research center in the world

Ilham Kadri, CEO of Solvay, and Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid, the representative of the King of Belgium, jointly inaugurate the Research and Innovation Center
