The Xinshen 102D well is an ultra-deep directional well deployed by the Southwest Oil and Gas Company in the Xinchang structure of the Western Sichuan Depression in the Sichuan Basin.
It is also the first high-sulfur drilling and production simultaneous development well with a designed well depth of 6,448 meters
.

To this end, first, the 70149 drilling team earnestly implemented the spirit of the group’s vice president Liu Hongbin’s on-site investigation speech, focused on the “four improvements” to achieve efficiency goals, and scientifically promoted speed and efficiency; the second was to fully learn from the construction experience of the Xinshen 101D well and earnestly Study and research design plans, strictly implement technical measures and comply with operating procedures and specifications; third, under the guidance of the company’s engineering technology department and technical support center, further optimize drill bits, optimize drilling parameters, optimize drilling fluid performance, and timely conduct drilling time efficiency analysis and formulate Targeted construction measures; fourth is to strengthen cooperation with drill bit manufacturers, directional wells, mud logging and other collaborating parties to form a combined force for speed and efficiency

With the joint efforts of everyone, the Xinshen 102D well has a daily footage of 168m and a single bit ROP of 7.
