Spanish infrastructure company Elecnor, through its subsidiary Elecnor do Brazil, is currently building a transmission line of more than 200 kilometers in Brazil at a cost of 18.
5 million euros.
The project, called Solaris, is being built by Indian company Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, a leader in power transmission and operates in
the global infrastructure sector.
According to reports, the transmission project is an important project
to ensure that the solar power plant in the north of Minas Gerais is connected to the national grid system.
In the process, the project will strengthen the transmission network with a capacity of 1.
6 GW and will help improve the economic development of this part of the
country.
According to the plan, the project will be implemented in two phases, the first is a 93 km long 230 kV dual-circuit transmission line, and the second is a 112 km 345 kV single-loop transmission line
.
To build this infrastructure, Elecnor has partnered with India's Sterlite Power, and the development of the project is expected to create around 640 jobs and will be operational
in 2022.
With the implementation of the Solaris project, Elecnor will further strengthen its presence in Brazil and establish itself as
a market leader through construction and power generation.
In total, the Group has developed more than 11,000 km of transmission lines, 870 km of natural gas pipelines and more than 100 substations
.
In addition, the company has a solid portfolio of renewable energy projects, mainly wind and solar, which has generated more than 1 GW of electricity and another 800 MW under construction
