Sumitomo Chemical's 2019-2021 mid- and long-term business plan mentioned that in order to increase the production performance of polarizer products by more than 10%, the company's improvement strategy for polarizers includes, on the basis of promoting the optimization of the operation of each plant, stop part of the The operation of production lines, as well as reducing the proportion of generic products in the entire business, and using in-house base materials to expand sales of high value-added produc.

In July this year, Sumitomo Chemical also included a company that researches, develops and manufactures polarizers, "Sanlizi", to expand the application of polarizer materials in the automotive mark.
