Both fibres are recognised and certified by the Dutch Control Union's Global Recycling Standard (GRS), and their energy saving benefits include saving valuable resources so they are not removed from the earth

Hyosung recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Busan city government and Netspa, a social enterprise, to produce an eco-friendly nylon by recycling discarded fishing nets

This partnership was established to reduce pollution of marine ecosystems from these fishing nets, as well as to raise awareness of marine conservation

Hyosung will invest in developing and commercializing the material extracted from fishing nets later this year, which it will call Mipan regen Ocean
.
