After a series of coordination, land acquisition and planning, the construction of
the fruit and vegetable market finally began in July 2014.
The New Taipei City Fruit and Vegetable Distribution Company, which is in charge of the operation, has introduced environmental beautification, e-zoning, public welfare and ISO certification into the Banqiao Fruit and Vegetable Market, and will build a solar power generation system of about 2,000 pyeong on the roof of the building and the surrounding space, which will be the largest fruit and vegetable market in Taiwan that uses solar power when completed

If the mainstream module requires 2~3 pyeong installation space per kW, 2,000 pyeong space can install more than 600kW of solar energy systems
