Teijin builds cabin for next-generation Toyota Tundra in Texas

Teijin Automotive Technologies (formerly Continental Structural Plastics) is producing cabins for the next-generation 2022 Toyota Tundra pickup at its new plant in Sagan, Texas

The Tundra cabin is formed using Teijin Motor Technology's proprietary compound formula
.
The cabin is available in three lengths (5.
5 feet, 6.
5 feet and 8 feet 1 inch) with optional lighting
.
Teijin Motor Technology is also producing tailgate covers made of composite materials that will be assembled with the D-pillars on boxes and shipped to Toyota's manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas

Full-scale production of the carriages begins in November 2021

The molding and assembly process used by the Seguin team is very similar to that of Teijin Automotive Technology in Tijuana, Mexico

Teijin Motor Technology has been producing cabins for the Toyota Tacoma there since 2004

Since the start of production, Teijin Motor Technology has produced more than 2 million composite carriages for the Tacoma project
